Then we slip into the pattern of truly relaxing only when we're away on an extended vacation. Even then, the phone rings or a Fax document comes through. We wonder if it's for us. When our conscious attention goes to these thoughts, we realize that we're existing in the illusion that we're relaxing. We experience the energy and power of vacation draining from us.
Taking mini-vacations reduces the pressure of the expectations and demands that we place on our vacations and leisure time. Suspending our sense of place on our vacations and leisure time.
